I would like to attend as well guys!!! How long drive is it from Sydney ie Liverpool?

Sydney to canberra is about 3 hours, or a little less, depending entirely on Sydney traffic, and how heavy your right foot is.

Sweet! Sounds like we will have a nice little gathering of XR6t's.

Any other utes amongst those coming?

Aussie Pete from FF said he might come in his BA Pursuit.

Map available at http://www.whereis.com.au/.

If you are coming from Sydney way you will come into Canberra on the Federal Hwy which turns into Northbourne Ave just after the Barton Hwy intersection, you take left at Girrahween St into Braddon and then second right into Lonsdale St and Gregorys Ford is a couple of hundred metres or so on your left.

Sweet... this is getting bigger'n ben hur! :)

I just sent an email to Gregorys... wait and see whether they'll help out with something (I dunno, snags for the bbq? PERFECT opportunity for Gregorys though. Perhaps they can redeem themselves for their occasional lack of customer support... lol)

NOT that I'm saying that our sponsor isn't good... it's just that they're not in Canberra... *grin*

I am looking forward to this in a big way! :)

Who has a high quality digital camera they can take lots of photos with and send em to the press? yay!

OMG! I was under the impression he was still waiting on delivery. That would be outstanding for me, as I am yet to see any FPV vehicle in the flesh, let alone my ultimate dream car, the Pursuit.

Chris - it takes me just on 3 hours to drive from the centre of Canberra to the centre of Sydney city. Otherwise, www.whereis.com.au has a nifty directions service that also estimates the driving time required.

Edited to say... ARRRGH. I should read both pages of the topic before replying. :)

How many of us Sydney people are making the trip down?

We could always meet up at Liverpool and make a convoy down the Hume. Should only take about 2 - 2.5 hours from Liverpool to Canberra.

I am not a confimed starter yet (need to check with the boss to see if she has any plans) but if I have a leave pass I will make the drive down.

So, anyone keen for a convoy?

Matt

Takes 2 hours @ 140km most of the way.

There are two sets of 80 - 60 km/h road work spots, but that's just for a short time.

Takes 2.5 hours @ 110km most of way.

This was from Henry Lawson Drive and M5 intersection.

Went down on Friday to look for house, no traffic, when down today (Sunday) to sign contract, heaps of traffic both ways, especially getting back into syd.

Also be careful, double points...

PS, I thought there were heaps of XR's down there, I only saw 1 White, 1 Phantom Turbo, and 2 NA Utes on Friday, and only 1 Phantom today along Monaro (ewww) Hwy (Don't know if it was turbo or not). Whats goin on?

hehe
