I was making no comment or assertions about V8. I was just attempting to explain the apparent lag in a car suppose to have 530NM at 2000rpm.

Also do you understand what point I am trying to make? I am happy to listent to your theory?

Take a look at these 2 graph's it might help you get a GRIP on the Torque :censored:post-5623-1102416417_thumb.jpgpost-5623-1102416457_thumb.jpg

Thanks F6 ... I tried to explain what the torque curve would look like in an earlier post - didn't have the graph, but looks like I got it right eh

I've added a comparison chart below with basic figures from ford.

We'd really need to get figures from a dyno shootout where the two cars are present to have some better indications here on.

Looking at that graph ... the Typhoon would crap on the GT :banem: ... traction may be the only problem with the Typhoon ... Probably needs 275 or greater at the rear :repost:

Well done Steve. It really tells the story doesn't it? AND makes it very very difficult to come to grips with the comparative SS times reported by the mags...

Quite clearly on paper the Typhoon should be quicker than the BOSS in every situation except top speed. And this is what the Doc and Redhawk have reporterd from their driving experience so where the hell does it leave those magazine times???

free power run to the first typhoon and tornado when released?

although as some may think youll need to deduct 20 % :msm::repost::banem:

ps dyno has been totally stable since then!

will see what it does on the week end see if the crewman makes 670 + on mine 2 hope it holds it itll be a new record for my dyno?

If you graph it out properly with a few more data points it tells an even more convincing story. Check this out.

Please feel free to correct any of my figures, I played with them to make them match up as accurately as I could with the 2 graphs provided and based them around the major points we know and agree on (peaks).

In my view something seriously retarded is going on. As in my eyes, those figures are fairly accurate to the information provided and excel doesn't just make graphs up that don't line up with the figures.

My equation for power is =torque x rpm / 9550

9550 is a newton force constant used to convert to newtons applied over time, ie, work done in kW.

So yeah, something fishy is going on. At no point on either of those graphs supplied does the GT out torque the phoon before 5000 - 5500rpm. Explain to me how a car, that weighs 50 odd kg's less and a spread of power that thick, get its arse handed to it by something heavier with less applied force over the rev range?

Wheels and motor both need to pull there heads out of the proverbial black hole.

Well drawn Lawsy.

I penciled the overlay in some 3 months ago by hand and that is one of the main reasons I bought the Tornado.

Note the kw in parallel!!! But even that is some 100~200 RPM sooner that the GT as well so all in al it well backs up statements made from guyz like Doc who OWN both vehicles.

Be nice to overlay the XR6T as well but I don’t have the Curve for that but maybe someone else has?

I though it would solve a little arguing as some people just wont be happy without cold hard facts.

Bloody best Torque curve in Aus ATM “STOCK”and one bloody good starting point for a modded F6.
