Hi all,

My baby's due for her 45k service :ermm:

I'm looking for feedback on 45000 km standard service cost and quality of service,

recommended dealer in melbs SE suburbs.

I've done a search on the forum but most comments are re 15000 and 30000km services,

Previous service costs have been on the wrong side of averages mentioned on the forum. :spoton:

Thanks Guys!

Rick

Jesus H Christ! $450. Do yourself a favour and have a look at what is involved in the B Service which is due at 45,000 km. It is all well explained in the service booklet in your glovebox. It is meant to take them about 1.2 hours from memory. What the hell did they charge you for?

I have taken to the practice of doing my own oil and filter as I am using Castrol R Synthetic and my local Ford dealer didn't have it. I now buy it direct from the Castrol dealer so the oil and filter for a change costs me about $90. Then I use Auto Pass in Sydney as they come to my workplace to do the work. Last week my 45,000 service cost me $99.

I still take warranty work to MoFoCo.

Dont care/... Got a stamp in the book....... Cost me 450 (synthetic oil and MKII upgrade MCU)

warrenty looks good.......

save me... a 45,000 car and it costs 450 for a servive..

If I paid less money than that I would worry........

Get over it... why would you spew about that if you can really afford one in the first place.......

I wouldn't complain if they did $450 worth of work but when MoFoCo tell you it is a 1.2 hour service, I have to question their labour rate.

However, seeing that you have money to burn, go for it. I would rather spend my cash on other schitt if I can help it.

Put the car in for its service running the best it ever has. Picked it up that afternoon got 200m down the road and on the first gear change after full throttle head a loud pop, when I got back on the gas there was a loud induction noise and no acceleration. So straight back to dealer, inlet hose had blown off just before it crosses back over the engine into the throttle.

Hose reattached so off I go again, now on gear change I hear a flutter coming from the B.O.V. Prior to the service on gear change, was hearing the B.O.V. venting with the usual pssht.

Service guys say that, the way it is now, is normal and even took me for a drive in another car which was the same.

I guess what I would like to know form other members is, how does yours sound?l

It is meant to flutter.

Does your car feel more powerful than before?

My car felt down on power when I was hearing a pssht sound, and it was all back after the hose between the throttle body and cross over pipe was tightened.

Went back to the flutter again :)
