I was wrong with the 1 minute when the doors are opened though, that's only 40 seconds. Frustrating as hell when you are trying to close 'em....Today with 2 kids in the rear, I discovered that with the window disable switch on, if I try to wind either rear window up and BOTH kids press their switch to down, the window opposite to the one I am trying to raise lowers! Is my system faulty or is the logic for the windows dumb? cqae Member 229 Member For: 21y 5m 26d Posted 03/12/04 01:39 AM Share Posted 03/12/04 01:39 AM sorry to take so long to reply. The window raiser unit is available at heaps of places or I can sell them to you. I am in melb, but can send them anywhere. As far as installing them I dont recomend it for the inexperienced, ubt it is not all that difficult, just a lot of wires to sort out.The entire installation is in the door except one power wire on some cars(non-ghisa I think). This wire I run inside the original plug to a power source which is fused & you will not see.Am happy to help anyone who want to try it themselves but my help is limited to what I can do on here or over the phone.I know I found it difficult the first time I did one, but have done dozens of them in recent years. As far as cost goes I have an idea-would normally charge $150-$170 to do the job, I was thinking around $130 & a $20 donation to the site per installation? cqae Member 229 Member For: 21y 5m 26d Posted 03/12/04 01:43 AM Share Posted 03/12/04 01:43 AM I should also add some notes on how they work.when doors are locker, either by key or remote & the accessory position is not on, the windows will one at a time close. The go up for a timed period or until a rise in current draw occurs. So if a kids head is stuck inthere, it will trip out that window & go onto the next one. same thing happens when the top is reached to stop overloading motors.if this occurs, locking doors again will close the offending window.
