Marshman I have a unichip phase 1 and then some. Manual, all ok so far besides the clutch. Not sure how the T56 will go, I would suggest better than the T5 in the mark 1.

The only thing you will probably need to look at if you go higher than Phase 1 will be a clutch, as from approx 250rwkw and onwards you will have to be a little understanding of the poor bugger.

Marshman,

I went Phase I with a new Turbo and now have upgraded to Phase II+ Everyone told me Phase I would not be enough and sure enough... However both are great increases in pleasure to the normal 'T' and if you are in the Sydney area let me know and we can go for a spin so you can feel the whoosh factor.

Regards

M G

I have Vibe on my Mk 2, and I love it. I will be waiting though until APS do the EDIT, and I have some Kms on the drivetrain.

Had to read that bit twice!

For those who have had the phase 1 or other, with bigger injectors fitted do you find the lack of accurate km range and fuel consumption displays to be a problem or pain - I drive on the "range to empty" (even though this is conservative) and find it very useful with only having a 68L tank.

When my T was standard, the range to empty was always reporting too low (as it should). Now that I have fitted a Phase 2 kit, it seems that the range to empty is now almost exactly correct. The trip computer of course is way out. Mine reads around 10L/100kms when its actually around 15L/100kms.

Nah it's pretty useless now. When I get below 1/4 of a tank I start looking for fuel. :spoton:

Geea. :spoton:

Small price to pay for the extra go ... obviously my trip computer is now pretty inaccurate but I never really used it ... I just look at the fuel guage and the warning light ... these are still 100% accurate as they measure off the tank ... I must say though if you give the car heaps of stick with larger injectors you will see the 68l disappear signifcantly quicker

Cheers, Jason.
