I've seen it done on a F-150 Lightning but will be buggered if I can find the link.I think Rob that you'd need to pioneer that one yourself. As the room, factor will be quite different to the F series, we did it to my ZJ when we installed the 460, though we had no one way valve which was interesting when she back fired on the odd occasion, cough cough.Scotty Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/14282-aps-ts/page/3/#findComment-195685 Share on other sites
Gareth Member 71 Member For: 22y 3m 4d Posted 10/01/05 05:37 AM Share Posted 10/01/05 05:37 AM I've been Stage 3 for about 6 months. Cooling is OK, it never gets over 1/2 as the fans kick in, however I do lose some coolant out of the tank. I've tried ruplacing the header tank and cap, and I had a faulty heater hose, but I still lose coolant when I drive hard.Does anyone else experience this problem, or have a fix?My guess is that 390KW on a hot day is just too much for the standard cooling system and it blows off a bit of steam through the tank/cap....Goes like a rocket though! And yes, 390kw is a bit much for the standard cooling system. I thought the temp gauge on most newer cars sat on 1/2 after a few mins of running which is the normal running temp? What do you's think?Jon Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/14282-aps-ts/page/3/#findComment-252366 Share on other sites
