My car is a Feb 03 buildThe dealer arranged replacement at no cost.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hope it's the same for my XR8 Ute. Same tyres.Have been racking my brains trying to figure out what I could have run over to get what appears to be knife cuts high up on the inner wall of the front tyres. My car is Feb 04 build 11,000kms.Will talk to the dealer and see if he fills me full of crap as with other issues.Only new to the forum but great benefit already.Cheers,Chris

To get full warranty go to the dealer. There is definately a service buliten out on this one, back in around Aug- Dec 03. If the dealer does not know anything about it, go to another dealer. :o (Unless Ford have pulled the service buliten out of curculation - I doubt it though). I rang Dunlop and they sent a rep out and replaced the back ones for @ $130 for the pair. I was told on the rumour mill that KHUMOS are made on the same production for a lot less money at the retail end

I remember having all 4 replaced on my T at the 3000 klm courtesy service but when I asked why the service guy shrugged his shoulders and said its in a TSB Geeez 5oK is a decent run on them, cheap tyre motoring. Just have to have the right dealer I guess.

He told me to take it to my dealer and make sure I tell them that I have talked to Ford CRC.It will be interesting to see whether they cough up or try bull**it their way out of it and blame me.Chris

Guest AirStrike Guests Posted 14/12/04 12:33 PM Share Posted 14/12/04 12:33 PM Checked with my uncle who works at Ford and this is a pro rata recall. Basically you pay for what has been used they refund the rest, althought some dealers have taken it apont themselfs to replace them at no cost........Cheers
