Hi Guy's,

As most of you are probably aware, I'm having trouble with my gear box. It won't go into performance mode.

took my car with the hole in the bonnet and Shaker hanging out, EMS computer sitting on the passanger side floor in full veiw for everyone to see and asked them to check for code faults to see if there was a problem.

they found fault codes P0826, P0828. These fault codes tell you that there is something wrong with the circuit board or microswitch. As my car is entered in next weekends Auto Saloon in Sydney I told them a porky pie and said that I had to have the car ready by Monday to leave. They told me that they would squeeze me in. After they had removed the console and tested everything they found nothing wrong and said that I should get the wiring checked on the new computer.

Although I am still none the wiser as to what's causing the fault codes I could'nt ask for better service and better still they did'nt even charge me for the time, they covered it with warranty.

It seems that not all Ford Dealers are pricks. :w00t2:

Macka, I bet you are on the warranty alert list. While they may not tell you, when it comes to a driveline claim they will put your car under a microscope. Good to see they did squeeze you in, but I thought they had fixed the problem with your gearbox.

Mate of mine has just had a new engine fitted at no cost, despite the fact that he had stage 11 mods to the car. They had the car with the big fuel pump, enhanced cat, XR8 valve springs, but without Xede or 968 injectors which were removed for cosmetic purposes only. The car had lost compression in number 6.

LOL
