so you reckon the 206 kw is all bullsh*t? why would they do that? yeah the onw in wheels mag is all stock just rebuild engine and those big brakes

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It's the same reason ALL of the Jap manufacturers have no cars with higher factory quoted outputs of more than 206 KW. To appease government concerns over escalating power levels all the manufacturers had an agreement not to produce cars with more than 206 KW, however they have been breaking it for years on the sly, never ever pay any attention to factory figures for Jap performance cars listed as 206 KW. Although I think at least one manufacturer has openly breached the rules just recently...maybe the EVO, I'm not sure.

There's a great article on the owner of OZ's fastest GTR in the latest issue of motor tuner mag. His car does the quarter in 8 seconds with a terminal speed of 270kph! It has around 700rwkw. Weapon!

I don't see anyone asking for someone to post anything about the fastest GTR in aus, do you?

Well my carefactor is still 0.

Also the 206kw gentlemens agreement is no more. There is now a new agreement now that states that the car manufacturer "keeps it reasonable" allowing for pretty much anything. Everything is reasonable, it just depends on what you compare it too... 600kw is still reasonable for a GTR.

Its reasonable compared to say, a 50T dumptruck anyway...

The next GTR looks fugly if the spy snaps are anything to go by.
