Tyres Replacment/recall?

Yeah I went to get mine replaced at my mates tyre store and found severe cracking in the sidewalls of all 4 tyres!!!

I got a set of Firestone Firehawk SZ50's for $165 a tyre. These tyres are AWESOME for the price. They will out perform a G Grid 3 and the dunnies(which are twice the price) in the dry and in the wet. They're a cool looking tyre to!! And they have a little rubber lip that sticks out wider than the rim to protect it.

The brand yes. Not this particular tyre. I've had them on 3 cars now and my mate has sold thousands of them.

Nothing but praise... :3gears:

They are sold through any bridgestone store. Unfortunately Only his store(well his bosses 6 stores-all in sydney) sell them that cheap as he is one of bridgestones biggest buyers in aus(buys at better prices). I do know for a fact though that bridgestone have them on special for christmas everywhere for $198(17's). Still cheaper than the dunnies!!! :3gears:

If anyone in sydney is interested where PM me...

Speaking of Bridgestrone tyres, I had 225 S03's on my AUII before I got my T, and I loved them compare to the old 225 Dunlops I had ... I now have the Factory 18's and would love to run them in the future after the 9000's die ... does anybody currently run these tyres on their T?

Hope its not too far off topic :spoton:

Cheers, Jason.

after eading this thread I went out to check mine.... no cracking in the sidewalls.... but two deep cracks/splits running accross the tread, is the length of the tread, and is as deep as the tread... one is a back tyre and one a front one :spoton:

WTF!!! two new back tyres coming up

My Dealer has been changing them underw warranty.

Last time I was in they asked to put my car up on the hoist, I said why, they said to check the tyres and explained there had been alot of cracking in the walls etc. They said they had replaced quite a few.

Mine were fine :w00t2:

Is'nt it interesting ford have not done a recall........ :spoton:

A little off topic but here goes anyways. Yesterday morning, some f***ing moron swerved on to the wrong side of the road to go around a parked car & I had to take evasive action or he would have hit me. Bloody VT Late model camira too! I just clipped the gutter which near my place are those tyre friendly curved ones. Unfortuneately for me, I hit the part where the drain is.

after inspceting the damage my rims appeared to be ok, but my left hand rear had a big bulge in the side wall. Took the wheel off & went to my tyre man & told him what happened. He spun the rim up on the wheel balancer & showed me a very slight buckle but said it wasnt worth worrying about. Fitted me a brand new 235/45/17 3000a tyre and asked me for $199. I thought this was a pretty good deal, but am still spewing on the wa*ker dunny door driver!
