Washing my car on the weekend I noticed a big buldge on the sidewall ot the rear tyre on my SP3000 17". I think I will go to the dealer and see what he has to say.

I have hit no gutters or anything, so it must be a normal factory fitted feature, just like all the other features my car has :spoton:

Go the FALKEN tyres , been running strong for nearly 10000k and they are better then the dunlop could ever be, love em to death.

Another good tyre is the Micheline Pilot Preceda, same tread wear rating as the SP3000A's so they will last just as long.

They stick to the road like there is no tomorrow.

When the ford dealer mistakingly chucked them on the back of my car and the dunlops at the front, I instantly felt the difference at the first round about (understeer).

Got them to change it back to how it was before and all was good again.

A couple of guys on here swear by them.

Just don't take em to the track....oh and they cost about $300 each...

You wouldn't believe it !

Just found a crack right around the side wall of my rear right  tyre, original 235/17 dunlops. :spit:

Can't see any chance of getting replacement under recall/warranty :spit:

They put new ones on mine after 30,000km's & didn't charge me.

I'll keep putting the Dunlops on her - - I'll be happy if they split every 20,000!!!

Except if you are on the freeway and they split.....

This is not good for Ford if these tyres are failing...I hope nobody is killed by Fords lack of warning their clients about the potential problems these cars have.

I just got back from the dealers to submit my long list of warranty items and to look at the tyre. They said to take it to a Dunlop tyre place as they can inspect the tyre and replace it. This means that you do not need to go to your dealer to have it replaced.......there is a god :spit:

Is this tyre replacement thing still happening? as my XR6T has 4 split walls on the insides of the tyres.

Car has done 25,000kms but I bought it secondhand with 20,000km on the clock.

Had 2 tyres replaced free on my 45,000 service 2 weeks ago. made it worth while going to ford instead of my normal service guy
