The main difference is the LCD screens, especially the left one.

Consider it a fairmont ghia dash but with the blue lighting and XR logos on it.

Have a look in the manual and you'll see the differences between the dash's. the lux pack has the faimont ghia features.

Cheers

So you guys are saying that instead of the XR cluster with the dark purple numbers and the 2 white LCD screens(the ones that display K's and gear), you have Bright blue numbers and Blue lcd screens?

No.

Listen carefully!

ALL BA XR Falcons have the SAME instrument dials and the SAME LCD screens!

Exactly the same as the pic you posted.

Like I am trying to say, there is NO difference in the instrument clusters REGARDLESS if you have a Lux equipped XR or not!

So, have we determined that the Luxury Pack XRs get the Fairmont Ghia Dash with blue lighting and XR logos as per the media release?

Therefore: the dash is different? :sleepystuff:

I dont know about MkII, but I can confirm about MkI, when I first picked up my T, I have the lux pack, I wanted to know what was difference with the dash. In the manual you have the falcon, XR, and Fairmont clusters. My dash matched with the Fairmont cluster except that the XR logos were on it and it was illuminated blue. :spoton:

I think the difference (what I have noticed) is the info that is displayed on the two LCDs on the dash. In the base dash XT/Futura/XR you get the trip computer readout on the left LCD. While on the 'Prestige' dash as per my Fairmont the left LCD has stuff like what doors are open and the gear you are in and some other stuff, and the trip computer display is on the ICC screen.

So the actual dash looks no different, its just what you get on the little LCDs.

I might be wrong.

If that is the case, why does ford advertise a 'Graphic bluelit instrument display' where the entire picture shows BRIGHT blue instruments and screens?

I can see what your getting at MS700 but even the dealership is saying there is 2 clusters but FOMOCO is not suppling 1 to them...

Cheers anyway.

The one on their website is the SAME as a normal XR one.. :pooh:

I thought the only difference between the two was the lux pack had the little diagram of which door is open?

XTR is right, the Luxo pack has the graphic of the car showing open doors, boot, bonnet. The right side is Odo/Trip A and Trip B.

I do not think the Luxo pack dash "looks" different, it just has different features.

I have the police pack on mine so I have no trip computers on the right, only the word POLICE when I start and the a P with the speed in km/h :pooh:

Sounds spot on to me. From what I've seen and heard, all XR instrument clusters are physically identical. It's just that some of the information on the luxury pack is displayed in different spots.
