It can pull in its power band but you'd expect a Turbo car to. In a 0-100 dash or when you get stuck outside the power band of the T when you're up against a GT and you'll get hosed. Why wouldn't the Typhoon? Not according to their times.Something is a miss here. Perhaps the phoon does hit 9lb early on but it must be drawn back to stock levels above 4500rpm or something for the GT to pull away so hard.Turbo6man said "Rolling acceleration"geeseman. The above results show that, but it’s a total new ball game and people need to take time to get a handle on how to make the torque work for you and not the rev’s.Those results are way above most peoples expectations and id hate to be along side one in a HSV scrambling for another cog and some revs to try and hold my own..Wooooooooooooooooooooop's where did he go??????????? Typhoon Member 564 Member For: 20y 4m 30d Gender: Male Posted 24/11/04 05:06 AM Share Posted 24/11/04 05:06 AM That box out sounds like an excuse for their drivers for not posting better times. Regardless, it shows the trend that the phoon is slower than the GT and the HSV, which is mirrored in the times seen in motor mag.How they can say it's faster in each gear and off the mark when they say in the article the phoon has lag and the v8's throttle response is better is absurd.Even their own times contradict their statements. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>look geeseman the typhoon is the fastest car in oz history! Look at the 80/120 rolling run and you will find in every gear its faster then anything else ever in oz I wish everyone would stop looking at 1/4 mile times and open there dam eyes!!! Not standing start.I know but when a standard T almost beats a GT in 0-100 times you'd expect the phoon with more torque to do a lot better.
