I saw a congo green xr6T today. It looked very good........

I don't know of anyone on the Forum with one

Hi Dallas,

There is definetely one member here with a Congo but l cant remember his alias. Has posted pics in the past and l think he may be from SA.

Maybe someone else knows??

The member you are talking about is SA Tickford. I've saved some pics of his car at the FPV open day on my hard drive, so I'll attach them for you. If I remember correctly, the pics were taken by and posted on here by another member just after the open day.

Think they were Richdaves pics? .. BTW .. That car was just awesome!... The pics ( without deriding the cameraman!!), just don't do the colour of this car justice!..

Thanks Charliewool, yep they are the pics I took at the FPV open day and the camera does not do the car or the colour justice. This is truly one awsome car. SA Tickford has done a superb job to take a car that is already a head turner and customise/modify it and only improve it. :D

Ditto,

That Congo Green looks very classy indeed. I stand corrected for previous posts. Very, very nice.

that is a very sexy bit o paint. very nice, im a fan of green, the ssx kryptonite is the best aussie paint colourr running around at the moment, would rather how ever it stayed off of the backs of commodores, and was reserved for a hsv/Expensive Daewoo hero car, you know the 1's, where u see a car in a colour and go that's just plain wrong, sacralige, etc. like a shaker on a non gt... that's wat australia needs sum here cars that should be left untouched, and not copied because to do so would be frowned upon by every1!

The new colour HARVEST GREEN , has more gold in it .

Your local dealer should have a colour chip by now to show you how it looks .

do you know if it looks similar to the HSV Green?

Guys,

Re the new green..

I live in Sunbury so we have a fair number of Ford Employees that live in the area.

About a month ago I have seen a "New" green on a BA Futura. The car had the small brass tag on the front number plate that would suggest it is a Ford car. I personaly prefered the Congo to this green. The new green looks similar to the current VY commode green.. The wife did not like it at all. She thought it was too close to army green. This car may have just been a test paint job. So we will have to wait and see. B) Personally I would prefer a brighter green or something light the British racing green..
