Well the big boys in their TURBO's have done it.

No reason why this mod won't benefit the XR6 NA so here goes.

Silverbullet has installed the 2nd cai using the XR8 CAI snorkel and there is a difference in the high end, it also gives you a little more response on take off as well but hey, for a $70 mod, who can complain? I can't afford to go out and get an SS Inductions kit. This mod could very well deliver the same amount of cold air and costs hardly anything.

My thanks to Silverbullet for coming over on his day off to help me with this mod, thanks dude, it's greatly appreciated. :spoton:

Now where does that hole go? Oh yeah, drill along the silver line, haha, the longest process of the whole operation, as the hole is an oval, not a circle, I held onto the airbox while simon drilled along the outline. How he did it on his own, haha, would have given me the :spoton: 's.

Airbox back in place, currently waiting for the silicone sealant to dry around the rubber to ensure no gaps are present. The 24 hour wait is killing me. :spoton:

I want to do this to the Fairmont! Thanks for the pics!

Can you report if your fuel usage has dropped?? Are you still running standard filter?
