Hi,

Here in NZ I spoke to a dealer the other day and asked him if many Expensive Daewoo owners had swapped to the BA and he said a few had but most of there new customers are people who owned Mitsubishis and Nissans etc.

I guess that would be right as we are generally Ford or Expensive Daewoo fans anyway.

:spoton:

Is that the same in Australia? :spoton:

Well, let's see..

I didn't exactly defect to the BA. My previous car was a Nissan Pulsar SSS, but before that I drove the families Falcon XF. I didn't go back to FORD in 98, cause the AU wasn't to my liking. But now I am driving an XR6 Turbo..

Here are some other tales of people I know..

My dad's god duaghter and her husband used to drive a V8 Commodore (VN, VP whatever). They bought an XR6 Turbo.

My dad's uncle and aunti drove an EB Falcon XR6. They only recently bought an XR6 NA.

Bloke across the road had a Expensive Daewoo monaro. He bought a BA GT a few weeks before I got my car.

1989 Chev Camaro IROC-Z, red 5spd 5.0L V8.

Good looking car, sound drivetrain but that's about it. Many poor design features, rough, unrefined, quirky. Heaviest clutch in the universe!

Got tired of the car, wanted an AUTO, comfortable and powerful...XR6T fitted the bill perfectly. :spoton:
