Well I got NFI of whats going on any more :pooh: Looks like wait wait wait, and things might be great great great

NFI  :msm: vik  I havent got a clue what to do

Vik, I have done a fair bit of reasearch on it all, and apparently the capa edit programme we have seen is very basic compared to what is available overseas. The box is nothing special and is actually derived from some Diesel tuning equipment. The fact that it would be good for non modded T's is great.

If you are already modded you are looking at spending up to $2,500 just to get back to where you currently are performance wise. At the end of the day you can pick your own tuner, but they have to buy the sofware, and if ford reflash your pcm, you loose your tune on a modded car, as you cannot have a stock tune for obvious reasons.

Personally I would give it a year or 2, I would suggest that it will develop over the longer term to be a very good option, with a cheaper price.

Personally at this stage I would not understand why someone would change over from what they cuurently have for more money?

best bet is find someone your comfortable with and trust and go with what he knows inside out or just simply in your case as my impresion was you no care for xtra power blast the :msm: out of your dealer and say you are geting together with all the others in the other thread for group action the more legal threats the more preasure the dealer puts on the ford!!!

just a thought I feel its totally unfair that the main and posibly only reason for spending this sort of cash is frustration not fair!!!

what is it with you and the price of the edit, everytime you talk about it it goes up...at this rate it's going to cost about $4000 by the time it comes out!! :spoton:

No Dave, what I have said is anywhere from $2k to $2,500 dependant on your tune requirements. If you were already modded and wanted a next to stock tune as well as your performance tune, you are looking at close to $2,300. If you want 3 tunes on your box, the provided ones are no good for a T with injectors etc, so that's when you are looking at $2,500. Most people are going to want to use the capacity of the 3 tunes on the box.

Box costs $1695

Custome Tune approx $400, with slight discount for each tune after.

Hope that clarifies :spoton:

Only problem being modded is if you battery goes flat, or your PCM is reflashed, you loose your tune.
