Let me add an additional thoughts..

If I decide to go down the XCalibrator / Edit route... these boxes can hold 4 tunes right?

1. I'll get the stock tune saved in slot 1

2. I'll get my edited tune on the car..

3. If the tuner I am handing $1695 over too doesnt agree that me having to drive to melbourne from Geelong to get my car re-flashed because it is now running dangerously rich etc... he'll have 2 practical options... save the performance tune to my slot 2 of my flasher... or not get my business... I suspect most DECENT tuners will do this for the average joe blow... heck if Street Tuner says in the event of Ford flashing my ECU, it's gonna be free they may as well put it on the flasher unit...!

I stilll have 2 tune slots free... who knows what I'd usem for! maybe a grandma driving tune:)

Street Tuner - can we have approximate rwkw power levels for each of the stages of tune you mention in this thread that are available from your edit and the stock car components.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Starting with a 190rwkw auto car, Program 1 should net around 228rwkw, Program 2, closer to 245rwkw.

Miyagi, I didnt explain myself properly before.....

Once the programs are put in the box by your tuner they are there forever, or until you request your tuner to modify/erase them. If for some reason Ford overwrites one of your programs you can simply flash it back in from the XCalibrator in the space of a couple of minutes.

This flash tool technology is very seamless, and now I hope you can begine to see some of the advantages

Hi MArtin,

I was told by Justin at Capa, that the average user (not a reseller/tuner) would have the ability to fine tune by about 10% up or down some of the basic functions of the edit.

Is this true?

Can you tell us what functions the end user would be able to change?

I imageine this is to allow for manufacturing variations from car to car, is this true?

Thanks again.

How long before customers cars will be getting done do you think?

Regards

Street Tuner,

Great figures for a stock car, maybe you can answer my question from a couple of pages ago:

My question is if Ford update the flash for the ECU (to fix specific issues) and this comes with modified parameters will CAPA send updated edits based on this new update to all customers? and if so for nothing?

Thanks, Jason.

Nick, all I can say is that we are honest with our figures.

We wont promise the world, and deliver a track-time atlas.

Think about it.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Don't recall Nick promising anything. :3gears:

A customer posted what he saw and until these figures are found to be right or wrong they stand.

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread, Im just sick and tired of all this hostility.

good luck with your product.
