Owning both a T and a Late model camira SS I have been undecided on which one was faster, the T feels faster but a few traffic light drags have proven them to be very very similar.

But tonight my wife and I decided to stop the argument of whos is faster by having a rolling start race on the highway on the way home, before anyone has a hissy fit on how stupid this is, it was at 2:00am and no other cars were around, also there is a 60 zone which leads straight into a 100 zone so that provided the perfect launching pad, so travelling at 60 we nailed it and the SS jumped about half a car lenght to which I thought, oh crap I am never gonna here the end of this then the T just breezed past and pulled away, by the time we backed off at XXXkmph the T had about 2 car lenghts on the SS.

The SS is still fun to drive though.

Just curious if both are auto's  or manual, or one of each? Also having both, is one easier to launch then the other?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The SS is a VY manual ute and the T is a sedan auto.

Falchoon - now that its settled it wont happen again, well not untill willowbank in January, I am not usually like that but since there was no other risk to anyone but ourselves we figured why not, silly I aggree but it would never of happened if there was another car in sight.

Turbofalke - We bought an SS becasue its my wifes daily driver, she like the Expensive Daewoo ute better than the falcon ute, I was also a Expensive Daewoo man before the BA was released and I cought wind of this xr6T thing. Besdies the SS is a very comfortable car to drive.

XR6 T BA FALCON my mate has a 200sx turbo but its a 1997 model and had done some work to it, running on 10psi. Mate I killed him so you should'nt have any problems.

Love to hear about Expensive Daewoo demise, but I still dont get it... why did you buy an SS????

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Good question. In saying that it would be neat to have one of each :spoton:

Am looking at a second hand GT down the track to keep in the garage with the Turbo.
