392rwkw's

I have had a few 500rwkw+ and ++ runs on Dynowogs dyno at Autosalon, highest was 617rwkw.  This was about 40 rwkw more than it made on the Dyno Dynamics. Also pulled a 575rwkw with another car at Autosalon that was 535rwkw on the Dynodynamics, so I agree with APS in this instance about the retarder dying in the arse.  The dyno dynamics they use at HP Heroes uses twin retarders to adequately handle the huge power of some of the TT V8s.

hey kbb do I know you?

whom isif thou?

any way's ok let us say it was 40rwkws more than the dd pls explain how when a brake is hot (looses efficiancy / cant transmit as much torque) that it as you say transmits more torque to give a higher reading?

if you said that they were calebrated differently well ok they are!!

if you said straping was diferent well it is I as far as I know am the only one using my strap down methods for max traction?

the dyno dynamics twin retarder dyno that I had at the same time as this dynolog was always 10% higher in readings than the dynolog? go figure? in fact in shoot out it was aprox 13-15% higher dependant which mode due to innersia corection table that dd used?

I guess well find out on friday when we run it again?

I don't know in my books the reading is the reading I have no doubts of this its now just a matter of the variables? these were list above in previous posts!!!

just to show you that I did have both running at the same time and that I kept the better of the two in my belief? pics are from my old workshop on gaffeny st.

the dynolog is the same one we used on sat 16000 odd runs later! installed 1 jan 2003 by me!

the dd was top of the line every thing 1st twin retarder in vic installed 9 sept 2002 by dd I opted to save much dollars on the cabinet and use it for xtra features instead.

now that you know I had both id like to end the which dyno is better saga as unless like me you have had both you cant posibly give an educated opinion

Just picked up my car from HPF. After cleaning out the fuel system Rob suggested that we give the car a minor overhaul. The car has been constantly developed over the last 18months and it was about time that we consolidated where we are at. Up till now the road tunes have mainly been tuned with the Xede with the edit only used sparingly. The race tunes were however mainly edit with a touch of Xede.

Rob suggested that we install bigger injectors ( I had the 968's) and that we also dispatch the rising rate fuel reg. After this the car would get a full edit tune and then utilize the Xede to give me a high and low boost map. After driving the car from HPF to home my first impression is that it feels great. Don't get me wrong the car was great as it was, just ask the many who have been in the car. Now it feels like it has slightly more power with more down low and the power delivery feels smoother.

Overall I'm very impressed and will give further feed back when I've driven the car round for a few days.

Here's a copy of the dyno chart. :buttrock:

Noice!  Are you going to have a run at some point in street trim to see what you get?

I think we're going to have another drag day soon. I'll be out there to see what I can do. :buttrock:
