Nick I'm nearly sure you will find it's a retarder problem of some kind as I've never seen a car vary 60 rwkw's ( when in fact the car is not producing the power) of couse there are other facts which can vary the power such as acc rate and how the car is held on the dyno, etc, etc.

I have no doubt mate that you have a problem with the dyno as the power you measured (392 RWkW's) would result in a much bigger mph than what geea is seing at the track over the 1/4 mile. With that amount of power the car would run 125 mph at a minimum, our blue ute with 400 RWkW's would run 125 to 127 mph consistently.

In any event I hope you get to the bottom of the problem as it's frustrating when you know there's a problem though can't find any logical explanation.

YEAH I DONT KNOW! :crybaby:

as to dyno problem ive clocked up 7500 runs with this hardrive and nearl 9000 with the other no probs remotely like this and have now run six cars today all with expected no.'s

at the moment everyone guess is as good as each other?

yeah ill get it recaled b4 mildura and see what happens, even every time it gets caled itsalways been within 1-2% after shifting and 5% after thompsons transport droped it on the way back from autosalon adelaide.

I know it sounds wrong but it repeated itself and nobody else got even thirty extra to say there may be a genuine problem with the dyno? :banghead:

Even then 125mph to 127mph with 400rwkw is a low mph IMO for the power out put

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well the mph all comes down to both the the power and weight of the car.......that simple. :banghead:

yep it is that simple!

:nono: I should of waited and got my T dynoed after Craigs! The pineapple juice could of given me the extra 60kw that I was looking for!! 222kw would of been a nice read out!! :crybaby:

I went down to Ford with Brian this afternoon and explained to them that I was unhappy that they detuned it (because of the overboost) and didn't tell me this! The Service manager told us they removed a pipe to bypass the computer control of the turbo which drops the power by 20 - 30 kw. It's only a bandade fix for now until the new fix.

I told the Service manager how embarrased I was on Dyno Day with a reading of 162kw :banghead: as I was hoping for at least the 190kw mark! I let that *beep* new I was unhappy with them!!

Hey Nick, sorry if my car has caused any grief. I'll be heading to Calder on 26th November, weather permitting. I will have my race tune, fuel and Nitto's. If you'd like to run it up whilst I'm on the way out I'd be more than happy to drop in. Hopefully you'll be able to figure out what happened.

Thanks again for a great day and making me king for a day, it felt good. :o

Ally take it to Amberley get an Xede installed and its all fixed. With what Brian's done so far you should have 230rwkw's and a smile that you can't get off your face. :banghead:

Good Call XRDreaming... Looks like he's picked a scapegoat ! :nono:

Blame the poor guy that was just trying to make sure all the cars got to run ! :crybaby:

through analysis of data in the first 3 cars run pretzel had set ramp rates to 100 and from miss ally's on it was set to 80 thus explaining some or most of deano's?

How fcuking rude, fancy pissing around with someone elses car and not telling them about it, you have to ask yourself were they actually gonna call you up and say the real fix is ready to be installed, fcuking wankers. They proabaly gonna black list you to for having your car on a dyno. If they would have told you there plans I am sure you would have said no worries, but instead they chose the deceptive way and have created a pissed of customer out of a potentially happy one. Ford need to brush up on their service I think.

I would just like to say I think Dynowogs Dyno is accurate. I was one of the poor barsteds who :pooh: myself when I saw Geeas car launching some what to the side.

And even after strapping it was easy to see it produced sh*t loads more pwoer. :msm::msm:

I have had a few 500rwkw+ and ++ runs on Dynowogs dyno at Autosalon, highest was 617rwkw. This was about 40 rwkw more than it made on the Dyno Dynamics. Also pulled a 575rwkw with another car at Autosalon that was 535rwkw on the Dynodynamics, so I agree with APS in this instance about the retarder dying in the arse. The dyno dynamics they use at HP Heroes uses twin retarders to adequately handle the huge power of some of the TT V8s.
