instead of playing around with that just get better spark plugs with a stronger spark that way the spark wont get blown out you it wont cause issues

or you can get a tight ass and change the gap to 0.9 :) good luck

A few members here have reported good improvments in rwkw when the plugs have been set to a "new " gap, I think it was .9mm but I am not sure.

I am going to have the top end off my car this week to do the injectors, would it be worth regapping/replacing the plugs now, the car only has 10,000km on it and is only 10 weeks old, what gap would ford have put in it, 24Aug - 2004 build date.

I dont mind spend the $$$ for new plugs if they will make a difference.

thanks

factory gap is not that crash hot ..

when I pulled mine out the gap was all over the place..

gapped to .7 mm/27 thou made the engine feel down on horses...

gapped to 32 thou / .81 mm and horses back and better response under 2500 rpm

It's Amazing how 5 thou can make an engine difference :smilielol:
