Bit like the Temp Gauge????????? It’s not calibrated in deg

What temp does your engine sit on? 1/3 or 85C

In fact most gauges now have very little on them by way of technical clarity and are all merely just a visual reference and more for looks.

As with most new vehicles now they have visual gauges and warning lights the critical being the lights which now days are connected direct to the engine control module.

Most people are hanging on for grim death and not watching the gauge looking for some minute difference.

They state 9 psi boost I think, so is that ¾? I don’t know! but I’m sure after a quick lap you will soon know at what point its reading 9psi and if it drops then you will soon know.

No big deal really and in fact to get numbers printed on the gauge so you could read it the gauge would be 4 times the size!!! Not a good look…………….

The boost gauge in my old VR4 just had a + or - just like the typhoon. I replaced it with a 4 inch white faced spitfire gauge for $80. Looked much better and scaled up to 30psi - simple to install too.
