I have found the T pretty bad in the rain when accelerating "hard" in first gear, but in second I can't believe how much grip it has sometimes. Plus, TC adds some security to it all.

No offence, but in the rain you have got to kidding :w00t2: . Sorry but I would not even go there . In a modded T you are guarenteeing an unontrolled spin :w00t2:

Please be careful, and a modicum of safety will not hurt.

You may be a superior driver to the rest of us but let caution prevail ... can't hurt can it ? I understand about beating the other guy , but at what cost??

The Dunlops combined with the T's suspension can hold a standard Auto T pretty well in the Rain. LOL

Scotty

p.s. Dave, your car is on the bump stops which is why I'd say it's dancing in the wet, crazy kid

How do you know he was in second?

I dont think the T would have gotten close to it if he was in 1st, and if he was in 3rd that's pretty impressive from the EVO from a slow rolling start.

Well, he said:-

On the way back from the supermarket tonight, I had the chance to take on an EVO VI in second gear, in the rain. Up to about 100kmh from about 40kmh.

We were both in second, after both taking off carefully from the lights.

Now, assuming both cars started carefully in 1st when they left the lights, and they both changed gears before 40 kph, it's probably a fair conclusion that unless someone missed a cog the very next gear after 1st is 2nd.

4wds like the evos and wrs's do their damage off the line because of their obvious traction advantage.Take that away from them and they are not nearly as effective.

Its no surprise that a stock xr6t can match them or even beat them through in gear acceleration.

On a parting note.Just how sh*t do those evos look. lol

Like little toys.

You're dead right there. I ran a Bugeye rex recently, and nailed my launched whilst he completely fluffed his. By the time I grabbed second I had a car length on him. By the time I grabbed 3rd, I had about three. Obviously, he wasn't the greatest at launching, but the distance I put on him was surprising. (I'm stock BTW) :pinch:
