This isn't really a very reliable test considering the fact that the server is hosted in the US, thus creating greater ping time's and latency delays for the arrival and departure of packets.

Your best bet would be to try... http://members.optusnet.com.au/djalexm/speedtest/

I got the same pathetic result with both ... 27 / 28 kilobits per sec

I dont know how it all works, but I could only manage 500kb/s on that "opt-arse" one. that's a very big difference for me.

1MB file download 8.3 seconds
