mickq Member 740 Member For: 21y 10m 7d Posted 10/11/04 05:07 AM Share Posted 10/11/04 05:07 AM (edited) Hey all,My current T has standard seats and premium stereo. In looking at the car Im about to order, one option is the "Limited Edition Luxury Pack".it contains:High Series Instrument Panel XR Finishes and blue illumination Premium Interior command Premium Audio Climate Control Outside Temp Analogue clock XR Sports Leather seats Anyone have any comments on what these things are like? Aside from the Premium stereo I havent seen any of it.Also, what are the XR Sports Leather seats like in real life? Do they suck, or are they lots better than the standard ones? And another question: Leather seats: are they any good compared to standard seats? And how do they compare to the Sports Leather seats?Ive read past posts on the leather seats, but interested to get answers to my specific questions above. Also some idea of things like what the hell is Premmium Interior Command, XR finishes and blue illumination, and High Series Instrument Panel? And last question: Sports Steering wheel...any details on it/photo of it, and is it any good compared to the standard one?I have no idea!Any help appreciated. (Still havent decided on trying something different and getting an XR8 or a second XR6 Turbo quite yet). Edited 10/11/04 05:16 AM by mickq

I have it in mine, and love it.To give you a description, its basically a fairmont ghia in a XR:1. The seats have soft leather around the edges and the main face of the seat is suede, very comfortable but do hug you in, also the door trims match the colour of the suede.2. The dash is from the fairmont ghia, but it has the XR logos and the blue illumination.3. Auto lights on/off, on the indicator lever, there is a auto option, basically on this setting the headlights come on in the dark, then switch off during the day automatically, there is a sensor on the dash which picks up the light.4. Finally the ICC, this console is from the fairmont ghia, full colour screen, premium sound, dual climate control, and full trip computer. Also all the settings, like temp, fan speed, recyc etc, all buttons.Very nice. Oh yes lets not forget the clock on the top of dash above the ICC.Cheers hope this helpsPeter

And the Sports Steering Wheel seriously rocks! (I uploaded a pic of it for you), but in my opinoin the standard leather seats look better than the sports leather.Definetly worth the money spent though, it's a nice overall package.Paul

Guest Lukkyphil Guests Posted 10/11/04 11:30 AM Share Posted 10/11/04 11:30 AM I picked up my T last friday, just did a 600km trip today, and love the seats. Might not look the same as the standard leather, but is very comfy, grips you better, and seems to ventilate air around you - at any rate you don't get the heat build-up you normally get after a few hours in the seat.Dual ACC is deluxe, and really handy as the War Dept will probably want the temperature 3 degrees hotter than you do. Too Easy - just tick the box. Before I ordered I had only seen pictures, after getting delivery I am really happy with the package. The Sports Steering Wheel is another must have, along with premium brakes. Posted 10/11/04 11:37 AM Share Posted 10/11/04 11:37 AM Both my "T's" have had leather and its the first option I wanted. I think it makes the car. I would definately get the premium sound aswell. This is the only option I never had on Boof that I wished I had. The rest sounds great. Most other options you can do latter.Geea.

I can't get my head around the sports leather I would only get one if they offered the black leather
