X Box vs PS2

Just spent 1/2 hour with my new Halo 2. OMG!!!! If your short of a reason to go xbox have a little play with this little Bungie beauty, I think your mind will be made up damm fast.

Kato I would think that over a little better, I own both and are very much loved equally, yes the xbox is technically the better system, but the ps2 hold 40% of the whole games market (as stated in latest hyper games magazine) and it does so for a reason, simply the game selection is huge and mostly excellent. When people mention the xbox has better graphics and capabilites, there is only one game that comes to mind where that is going to make any difference and that game is GTA: San Andreas, but since problems are hardly noticeable and the ps2 controler makes the xbox one look stupid I chose not to wait unitll that game hits xbox.

Also if you manage to get a new slim line ps2 it comes with the network adapter so if you have broadband you can play online without needing to fork out the $99.95 online subscription fee like with the xbox, also you mentioned you have a ps1, the games can still be used on the ps2 and so can the control pads so there is no need to buy an additional one, the ps2 can play dvd's straight out of the box, where the xbox needs an optional extra to play dvd movies.

I am not sure how young your boys are, but if they play a lot of games themed at little kids, the selection is better pn ps2.

For kids my opinion is ps2 all the way.

I have heard you can pick up and use the plasma sword that the bad guys carried in the first one. I'm waiting for halo 2 on PC, first person shooter on console

You spend half the game playing as the convenant as well as the master chief against a new foe. The game is the same as the first and a major disappointment.

Yes you can pick up the sword. You can also hold and fire two weapons at once, and hijack vehicles. Ie, you can jump on a ghost as it's driven past and bash the driver off or plant a grenade. Other then this the game is mostly the same and I would have to agree with Geeseman...disappointed.

I think it has been more aimed at a miltiplayer game than a single player, gur at work recons the SP isnt as good as the first but the multiplayer kicks ass.

I heard the xr6T and GTP make it in for ford and the SS Late model camira and HSV clubsport for holden, also current model v8 supercars for both makes.

I have been told in the past that this was someones wishlist but I pm'd one of the mods on the hyper (games magazine) forum and they recon its more fact than fiction at this stage.
