I dont mean to get technical but the GT would at least have  70-80 more nm torque than your Phoon not to mention  around 50 more kw in power. It seems rather odd that it doesn't outperform the Phoon given this. We all know the Phoon is lighter but all the same....

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

This is where your technical expertise turns to sh.it

70~80nm more of torque for sure but at what f*cking RPM?

Do you not know how to read a torque curve? You ever driven a car with a flat curve? Id say not!!! Another dickhead statement.

The current GT needs some 4500rpm just to get to 530nm of torque, Now the F6 develops this at some 1850RPM and 550nm @2000RPM DOH!!!!!

Do us all a favor gooseman and don’t get technical as it is not your best asset.

Take a test drive and give it a rest till then, you might learn something.

And on that note gentlemen the traffic has died down and I'm going to go and have some kilometre eating enjoyment. I will report back with more tomorrow and Redhawk will hang up some piccies :kissmy:

There is nothing wrong with what Wheels posted or said. Any numb nut knows that when conditions are poor the cars that have the most Torque suffer proportionally, which in case you missed it is why Wheels said what they did.

The only thing wrong is that people only want to read and then understand what suits them the most.

I am reliably informed that the F6 is the only car in the current line up (till Sept 05) that will do a rolling burn out at 60kph.

Hey lets just call this hammer time. The press have bent over backwards with praise for this car one going as far to explain that they believe the standing start times aren’t representative of the breed. What more can one ask for? The so called facts cast into question by the very people that provided them. Nuff said really.

No matter how many times it is explained, the Motor times aren’t times that motor Mag achieved. They are in fact Fords provided times according to Michael Taylor.

I can’t for the life of me understand the front spring rating in the F6 but I guess the car had to have at least one flaw

thanks for your kind words.

Do your parents know you are online?

Forgive me for my assumptions are based on your pubescent attitude. That is you have a whammi when you see someones comments you don't like and feel you must emphasise your opinion by abusing others...

Now, I am familair with the torque curves of Turbo cars as I own one.

Without boasting I'd assume it's far more powerful than yours, but that's another matter. If Doc says his Phoon has more go than his GT then I'd have to take his word for it. The power of a 260rwkw GT vs a 210rwkw Phoon would make most people think twice about it though, esepcially without abusing others for doing so...

If they are indeed Fords times then perhaps FPV were a little conservative. Your right about the front end it will be saggy in a couple of months. Pedders here I come, oh with my F6 of course. :kissmy:

Well things were no different for the Xr6T either really. It has good off the mark times, Ok when compared to the GT, but its in-gear acceleration, like the Phoon, is very strong. Heck I think they Turbo is a much better road car than a drag car because it performs incredibly well riding through the gears and pulling hard uphill etc. But these are cars that need to be kept in their power bracket or they just don't perform anywhere near as well. My assumption is that the 0-100 time scale and 400m don't do these cars justice and it's probably because of their lag and weight.

I think there is little doubt that both FPV and Ford want to down play the F6. They have a heritage and image to up hold in the form of the GT, but seriously when certain people with in Ford make claims that the F6 is quicker to 100 and then GT quicker over the quarter then to see this happen exactly word for word in the media, alarm bell should start to ring.

I became suspicious for this very reason, then on another site Michael Taylor supposedly confirmed that Motor Mag did not produce the published times. These comments were on the LS1 forum although I don’t know where Mr Taylor made these comments.

Given there was no comment in the text on performance I would say there is doubt over the accuracy of both published results.

It now obvious as to why you’re always so negative and seem to be the site punching bag. :w00t2:

It would seem that you’re also a bad guess of ones age my friend as Id say at a guess id be some 25+ years up on you and I have kids probably older than you. Let me guess??? You just can’t simply afford a new F6 and as such believe everyone should but a T just like you and Mod it.

Would it be more a case that no dealer would let you test drive a GT let alone a F6? Maybe with a job and some standing in the community you might well go places? But then maybe you’re the one hiding in the back room on the PC at mum’s house?

Give it a rest and stick to something you know something about.

And this is an attempt to convince people that you are of age and mature? :kissmy:
