My experience would suggest that the VY SS and BA XR6T are pretty close in performance and it comes down to the driver, how good their start is, the condition of the tyres, etc. I would say that the XR6T is usually in front though. :spoton: Also, I'm led to believe that the auto in the Late model camira is not as good as the auto in the Falcon. :kissmy:

My mate has a VY SS ute. The engine sounds great from the front, but once it goes past and you hear the exhaust...

I doubt the VZ will be much different.

Only SS I've been up against was a VY Series II Ute. Rolling start out of a roundabout, and it was line ball. Considering his was a ute and thus lighter, against a stock VY SS Sedan, I'd expect my XR6_T sedan (stock) to nose in front, but there wouldn't be a lot in it.

depends auto manual and when wheels and motor test the cars they do a few runs and do an average

after owning both a vy ss and xr6 turbo I would have to say the t take off quicker but the vy ss would win in the end hands down

Yeah, that was something I forgot about in my post. My mate's SS usually catches and goes past me if we go long enough. Well it did before the APS kit! :kissmy:

Raced my mate's VY SS ute (manual) against my XR6 Turbo (automagic). He couldn't keep the rear end down, it started fishtailing like crazy, and then the boost kicked in on the XR and the race was over. :) Had a P plater in a little Colt race up to wave to me, and give me the thumbs up, which was very cool.

In summary the variance in the performance of the human factor far outweighs any differences in theoretical mechanical performance.

JB, everyone knows that I appear in different guises for different people. :smilielol:

If you imagine me wearing sandals then in your eyes I'll be wearing sandals. :smilielol: Then I will be your God too. :smilielol:

Geea. :spit:
