247 sounds better shifty

Just a foot note..

The only T that did something strange on the dyno was voy's .

I watched all the dyno runs on the screen and it definitely spiked..

Interesting note with yours shifty was the dips which Bruce dialled out and that 90km/hr rumble

Yeah, it was a good day. Played the videos in hifi stereo sound at close to full volume and those superb engines sounded magnificent. Mrs z still loves V8's and she was drooling over the red XR8. She thought Vik's old beastie was pretty nice too.

The only downside of the day for me was (as everyone has been too polite to mention) mine was the least powerful T at 180kW (adjusted to the nearest kW...which I think is fair enough).

Well, it is stock, automatic, and has done only 16,000km. If it was pushed a bit harder over those km it might well have done better. Also, it was warmed up by idling for a few minutes before the dyno runs, which probably didn't help. But, believe it or not, from where I sit it goes pretty well. And I can live with coming last 'cos someone has to.

I've left the Morpower brochures on APS kits strategically placed around the house in case anyone in the family is at a loss as to what to buy me for Xmas. But I've also been dropping hints about the gorgeous, barely 2nd hand M3 in Prestige formula on Glen Osmond Rd (see, I'm really an optimist)

But, I change cars every 2 years and the T and I have less than 6 months together from now. I've been watching all the threads on new car options and I even took a Liberty GT for an extended test drive thru the hills. It didn't impress me at all. I'll have to force myself to test drive a few 2nd hand BMW's to see if there's a viable alternative to the Typhoon, which is currently looking very attractive (and I previously liked the idea of a GTP).

Yes, I do like driving manuals and the only reason my T is automatic is the bad press that the manual was getting when I ordered.

Thanks again Lee for organising a great day. Especially thanks to Bruce for bringing along that phantom beastie to show the enormous potential that we can aspire to.

My overbooster got 203.1 with no filter, and with the K&N,basically the same.

With stock ford filter, going by the first run 199,the filter is 30k old,I have cleaned it though

BUT,,,in the sound department,I reckon the two dogs is the way to go :nono:

But the clevo was hard to beat, only thing is the dyno bloke didnt rev its *beep* off with the secondaries fully open :sleepystuff:

All in all a good day,and Hustler you missed out big time :spoton:

Hi guys

Just wanted to say thanks for letting me put my car on the Dyno on saturday and for organising the day. Also thanks to Simon and Andrew at Morpowa.

It was a great day and I'm sorry I didn't get to hang around and watch the rest of the cars but had to get home to take wife and kids to a Xmas pagent.

You guys are pulling some great numbers ( which I know I'll never get :crybaby: )

Anyways...thanks again and I hope to catch up again when "my girl" has a few more K's on it and maybe (assuming wifey doesn't find out ) a few more mods.

Cheers

Brad ( Red XR8)

From what I'm hearing Tony the readings u got are right on target cause its 60k/w loss to the rear wheels which would bring you to exactly 240k/w atw....
