Hi Guys,

I have a stock SSS T which will soon have a a new CAI, filter and Unichip. What I am trying to understand is how many RWKW I can safely put through the SSS without having to upgrade it. I estimate the chip etc will get me to the 230RWKW region and I would like to add injectors at the same time. Will the injectors put me over the threshold of what the SSS can handle?

Tough question probably to answer but many of you guys will have a good understanding of what the SSS can cope with. I want to get my car into the low 13's range but do not want to start rebuilding the auto or anything else to accomodate the extra torque and kw's.

Thanks,

Luke.

I think if you're heading towards 250rwkw's you will have to start looking at some form of auto upgrade. Alot will depend on how you drive. I think if you put in a good trans cooler and add the shift kit that Dean and I have that you should be ok.

with 230 rwkw you should be OK. That said I would also do the valve body and tranny cooler as a precaution , particularly if even more GGs are planned.

As always it comes down to how hard you are on the tranny& luck with Ford componentary

If you have the power in most intances it is very hard not to use it :spoton: so,

give it some respect and who knows with some preventative mods you maybe ok

My understanding is that the shiftkit makes the auto shift harder/quicker, which means less slip and heat. These are the two factors that hurt an auto box.

This means that when you intend to drive hard you could turn the shift kit on. If you don't find the changes too hard you could leave it on all the time.

Interesting. So a shift kit combined with a transmission cooler might do the job OK. I dont think I am hard on my car, although I do change up and down manually a fair bit, but never down at high revs.

Good input guys.
