Hi all,

We just got home from a great night at Calder, the weather was perfect for the cars and both Geea and I ran PB's but I will let him tell you about his.

As the title says my APS Phase III ute on my first run of the night ran an 11.796 @ 119.07 mph. with a 60ft of 1.828 on street legal treaded tyres with my tailgate and roller door still on the ute.

I have aimed for an 11 second ute from the time I bought it and I am thrilled to finally be in the 11 second club with Geea and 100%.

To my knowledge I now have the fastest privately owned street ute or sedan BA Ford in the country down the quarter mile.

Special thanks goes to Peter and the team at APS for all the work and support they have put into my ute with me, it shows how good the Phase III package is to the average punter.

I also ran an 11.91 during the night at 120.4 mph but my 60ft time let me down (Not that I am complaining)

Was a good night. A long day too. I managed a PB of 11.934@120.43mph. The tyres that I was using were unable to help my 60' times I managed a best 60' of 2.024. I'd like to thank Nick (Dynowog) for all the effort and trouble he went to, to get the tyres. I'll be saving up for a set of Nitto's or MT's and when I get them I'll come try again.

I had trouble getting off the line without massive wheel spin.

I think Deano now has the fastest ute on street tyres and I've still got the fastest sedan. Must be something in the air down here.

I'd like to thank the team at The HorsePower Factory (amberley Auto's), I don't know how Rob puts up with me phoning him every second day with different ideas on making my car quicker.

Deano and I are thinking of starting our own club. The 300-11 club, you dont have to be Victorian but gee it helps.

I was disapointed early in the night as the best I could do was a 12.2 and after all the effort I've put in during the week I was pissed off with the lack of traction I was getting. Getting the 11.9 eased the pain a bit, a PB will do that. The car definately has a lot quicker times in it with better rubber. If I can get some sticky 17's I believe the car can run a mid 11, but its easier to speculate than to actually do it.

Geea.

It does have a mid eleven in it mate. We have similar power and the sedan should be lighter so it's there. I was stoked for you to get a new PB, we planned the day all week and I was happy we both had a good night.

Excellent work Dean and Craig.

Both of you have had a lot of practice, and getting better all the time.

It seems like you get 'that' run where everything comes together and a new best time appears.

Keep it up.

Brian.

Very well done guys, this is what its about aint it? Getting one hell of a cruiser that pulls 11's without having the economy of a 600cu big block.

Awesome effort, if you 2 guys put some really sticky, low pressure black ones out back, damn it will be a site to see.

Ok, who is going to be the first to wheel stand a BA??? (the physics say its near impossible with this wheel base, but many big wheel based cars running 9's in the US are wheel standing).

The next big goal? :D :P

"tell him hes dreaming"
