Posted 04/11/04 02:30 AM Share Posted 04/11/04 02:30 AM Hi Macka,The ultimate superchargers are from Whipple or PSI. These superchargers are twin screw type not turbine. More efficent.Try www.whipplesuperchargers.comI can't find the PSI site. These guys look like they would supercharge anything. All the nitro and methanol cars run this type of blower.Just something a bit different.RegardsSteve.
Guest Guests Posted 04/11/04 05:04 PM Share Posted 04/11/04 05:04 PM .......You've totaly missed the point, id like to see, at 4000 rpm while NOT ACCELERATING the boost guage at full boost on a turbo. Its probably not going to be producing much more than 60% and the wastegate would be almost fully open.... dw.... lawsy youve totally lost the plot who needs boost cruising off throttle?at 4000 rpm man 4000 rpm you have more than eough gas flow to even rival you!NOW THAT IS SAYING SOME THING!It is never going to be instant from there with massive turbos. Just look at the video's of the 1000hp nizpro engine, you see him come down to somewhere around 4500rpm, then he plants it and there is CLEARLY a good half a second of spool up before anywhere near full boost is produced.dw....are you sure its not the throttle delay?Yet with a charger, this is faster than you can blink....Dude, cmon, you know this, stop arguing for arguments sake when your just arguing against your own knowledge and experience. I know every modified turbo car I have been in that there is never instant responce, there is always that slight delay. On the more powerfull of those, its much more noticable.dw....well maybe the ones you have been in but that dont say much doe's it?With big arse positive displacement blower engines, its instant, no matter what the boost is....dw ....read the mentioned article as it is written by a well known writer that states some thing along the lines of (this car has boost from idle all the way through its rev range making it a pleasure to drive and comparing it to the latest bm's and mercs) also stating (nick makes no astonomical claims when describing this gemini) not bad for a car already 15 years older! (if anyone has a copy of this issue can you pls scan and post the article or send it to me)Dude, please, I'm not trying to make you look stupid, I'm not saying your stupid either, I respect you as a tuner, but you seem to be arguing against me for no real reason.....dw.... yes I can see that that's why you posted similar coments on the other thread! This is meant to be about pumping macka up to stick one of these on our I6!!! Not to argue about the facts and fundamentals of forced induction.dw.... yes it is you twerp so was the other thread about the edit grow up and stop being so childish I know I'm having fun but that aint the topic of either thread is it?And ps, use quote tags properly, its hard to determine where my post ends and your post stops.Just edit it, and stick {quote} infront and {/quote} where you want to start your post. But use square brackets.dw....this is as good as its going to get!pps, I wasn't attacking you, and never intended to.dw....yeah right next time you dont get an answer to an offensive post maybe just maybe the other party was just willing to let you win cause he could not be botherd wasting his time and interupting someone else's thread. so take a hint dont post it will as you said make you look stupid!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Posted 04/11/04 10:54 PM Share Posted 04/11/04 10:54 PM Sigh, you backed up and reared some teeth, that's about it.a. No reasoning behind what you saidb. No facts behind what you said andc. You're "supposed" to be a half decent tuner, and thus know allot about this sort of thing on a technical AND practical basis. I think you need to have a ride in a few more 9 - 11 second cars from both turbo and supercharger camps. Bum in the seat > technical knowledge in this instance.Anoying thing is you have missed the point more so because you haven't understood my analogy. 4000rpm was just a figure, its meant to signify say, just coming around a corner, trailing throttle and you are about to plant it for all its worth (say traction isn't an issue)... Not the best of examples ill admit, but the points are still valid. Make that figure 2000rpm then if you are going to whinge and carry on about it. You seem to like argueing against facts, not sure why......Not to mention I never attacked in the first place, so I don't know what the hell you are on about there either... This started with wanted macka to put something awesome on an I6, you then came in with "its not that efficient either" ive said "for the application it would be" then you have said I attacked you and refuse to understand what im saying. Now, this is an attack starting........ Now.Learn basic english, go to uni and re learn everything because you are lapsing, don't accuse others of attacking when they clearly have not. Act your age. Learn how to bloody quote properly, geez it aint hard.End attack.Thank you, going to cool off now. (that attack is much MUCH more censored than the original, infact its lost all of the original...) Pretzel EMS makes MAGIC MUMBO ! Member 192 Member For: 21y 2m 12d Location: Melbourne Posted 05/11/04 12:13 AM Share Posted 05/11/04 12:13 AM Hey Macka,I'd say the SR model would be the go, they basically get the XR interior, in the XT exterior (With a spoiler and alloys) Well they did in the AU series and I doubt the BA would be any different ?So put decent springs under it to lower it and control the power better, and it would be a great starting platform ! Although the Diff in anything less than the turbo may be an issue (I believe they are not as strong)Pretzel

I mean only grandma's and grandpa's drive those cars so they wouldn't be raped like... well not mine :D

Discover it comes with over $6,000* of extra value and you’ll be even more impressed. This extra value includes Sequential Sports Shift automatic transmission, 16” alloy wheels, designer sports trim, and rear power windows. But it doesn’t stop there. With a DVD Entertainment System, rear seat passengers can watch their favourite DVD, or listen to music via the infrared headphones (supplied). At the same time, the driver and front passenger can enjoy the six stack CD player. Falcon MkII Classic, with over $6,000* of extra value. Can’t get enough of this. Equally impressive is the limited edition Falcon MkII SR. Which is no surprise considering it also boasts over $6,000* of extra value, including Sequential Sports Shift automatic transmission, designer sports trim, rear power windows and a six stack CD player. Plus there’s Sports Control Blade IRS, a sports body kit with high arched rear spoiler, 17” alloy wheels and a leather wrapped steering wheel to complete the ultimate performance package.
