I found the article although it was in 'Zoom' Magazine, issue 73.

At the time of the article it was running the water to air cooler and made 404rwkw with 1.24bar of boost with a 2.3 litre compressor.

Macka ther's also an article in the new Performance Ford Magazine of Jim Mocks son done up an ELXR 6 with a Powerdyne S/C pushing out 330rwkw at 7 psi.

Hi Macka,

The ultimate superchargers are from Whipple or PSI. These superchargers are twin screw type not turbine. More efficent.

These guys look like they would supercharge anything. All the nitro and methanol cars run this type of blower.

You've totaly missed the point, id like to see, at 4000 rpm while NOT ACCELERATING the boost guage at full boost on a turbo. Its probably not going to be producing much more than 60% and the wastegate would be almost fully open....

at 4000 rpm man 4000 rpm you have more than eough gas flow to even rival you!

NOW THAT IS SAYING SOME THING!

It is never going to be instant from there with massive turbos. Just look at the video's of the 1000hp nizpro engine, you see him come down to somewhere around 4500rpm, then he plants it and there is CLEARLY a good half a second of spool up before anywhere near full boost is produced.

I know every modified turbo car I have been in that there is never instant responce, there is always that slight delay. On the more powerfull of those, its much more noticable.

With big arse positive displacement blower engines, its instant, no matter what the boost is....

dw ....read the mentioned article as it is written by a well known writer that states some thing along the lines of (this car has boost from idle all the way through its rev range making it a pleasure to drive and comparing it to the latest bm's and mercs) also stating (nick makes no astonomical claims when describing this gemini) not bad for a car already 15 years older! Sigh, you backed up and reared some teeth, that's about it.

a. No reasoning behind what you said

b. No facts behind what you said and

c. You're "supposed" to be a half decent tuner, and thus know allot about this sort of thing on a technical AND practical basis.

I think you need to have a ride in a few more 9 - 11 second cars from both turbo and supercharger camps. Bum in the seat > technical knowledge in this instance.

Anoying thing is you have missed the point more so because you haven't understood my analogy. 4000rpm was just a figure, its meant to signify say, just coming around a corner, trailing throttle and you are about to plant it for all its worth (say traction isn't an issue)... Not the best of examples ill admit, but the points are still valid. Make that figure 2000rpm then if you are going to whinge and carry on about it. You seem to like argueing against facts, not sure why......

Not to mention I never attacked in the first place, so I don't know what the hell you are on about there either... This started with wanted macka to put something awesome on an I6, you then came in with "its not that efficient either" ive said "for the application it would be" then you have said I attacked you and refuse to understand what im saying. Now, this is an attack starting........ Now.

Learn basic english, go to uni and re learn everything because you are lapsing, don't accuse others of attacking when they clearly have not. Act your age. Learn how to bloody quote properly, geez it aint hard.

Hey Macka,

I'd say the SR model would be the go, they basically get the XR interior, in the XT exterior (With a spoiler and alloys) Well they did in the AU series and I doubt the BA would be any different ?

So put decent springs under it to lower it and control the power better, and it would be a great starting platform ! Although the Diff in anything less than the turbo may be an issue (I believe they are not as strong)

sorry macka as I have said before I hope that this project happens and that you not only suceed in showing them that it is possible to improve on other kits that are available but that it also screamsout power!!!
