You might need to consider this when choosing which car to use as your platform. Geea.

I mean only grandma's and grandpa's drive those cars so they wouldn't be raped like... well not mine :D<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I still plan do it, so if you have constructive ideas I will gladly listen to them and take them on board.I think the SR would be a good option especially with those interior options. If you have a NA then just sell it and buy the T. Ford looked at both turbo and supercharger and chose turbo for good reason. Its a great setup and being a 4L engine with VVT + BB turbo lag is minimal - this can be reduced further with one of the stage 1 or 2 kits. For the people who chose NA for cost reasons and dont want to sell their car JMM do a upgrade kit that makes about 230kw from the BA 4.0 engine. This kit costs under $3K and of course since its not making huge amounts of torque your not going to have as much driveline and slippery diff issues They are working on a kit that has even more power.Want to do something *different* ? - why not have the best of both worlds and develop a twincharger kit that uses a positive displacement S/C and the factory turbo! that way you have that instant throttle response and the turbo top end. You also have the LSD, traction control, factory I/C, lower C/R engine and whatever else Ford changed on the XR6T.

Posted 05/11/04 06:08 AM Share Posted 05/11/04 06:08 AM Way to much piping involved to use both methods. Its cheaper and more efficient to just fiddle with the ratios and compressor types to get the desired result, rather than spending up on both... That's why I want to S/C a N/A motor. Its been done already by some people. I want mine to actually work just not spend $7000 on some else's kit that does'nt.It will be a challenge, which I look forward to. macka

Guest Guests Posted 09/11/04 02:22 PM Share Posted 09/11/04 02:22 PM having a think tonight ? do you realy want to go s/ccan you be swayed to listen at some interesting pointsif so and I dont want to get into a debate with any one here just a suggestion for you mackaany way here goe's:epa and cops know a s/c aint std and you will need an epa approval if you get pincheda turbo utilizing a factory turbo and etc on the other hand is more stealth in that it comes out from ford it can pass a if it were there from day 1 (road side warriors wont know) so less hastles etc.cost for s/c kit will be similar to turbo kit as I can tell if both done properlyease of fitment it almost all bolts up factory? even the shacker kit?check out posible specs:shacker to 700hp roller turbo(factory) throgh factory hose to fmic & then on to the factory plenumexhaust side std manifold through turbo to custom dump and exhaustthen all this can be controlled by ecu option of choice it seem you have a knack of pricing things so it can't be bad can it?
