The differance is thay / people have that option for tham self give people no options and thay then have no decisions that thay can make. Should a ferrari enzo be given to my mum to drive no because she will kill her self. If a 16 year old kid takes mum and dads hsv r8 clubby for a drive with out them knowing that hsv ferrari enzo is a bullet at 200kmh but a ATOMIC BOMB AT 270KMH if the speed limeter comes in at 200 230 250 than thay have no option but that speed and thay will be more likely to slow down once a limiter it hit Expensive Daewoo are bulding rolling coffins

It has nothing to do with how you raise your kids it is the duty of care that is the resposibility of car makers and ford is the clear leader in this country Expensive Daewoo will always pray on the uneducated and the miss informed to sell there products thay know it works so why should thay work harder if thay dont have to Mcdonalds is almost the most popular restrunt in the world but everone knows there food KILLS YOU Expensive Daewoo will have a lot to answer for in the futer if there not careful there cars a wayyyyyy to underenginerd but then again so are so many Expensive Daewoo owners :w00t2:  :w00t2:  :gooff:  :gooff:  :gooff:  :gooff:  :gooff:  :gooff:

How you raise you kids does have a significant impact, although it is not the only thing which is attributed to safe driving etc.

As for saying Ford are the leader, they may be better than Holden, but they are just as guilty. The maximum speed limit is 110 (with the exception of NT, but this may change), and yet Ford provide a car that is capable more than twice that (currently limited to 235).

If the car manufacturers truely have a duty of care, then they would ensure that their cars (without mods) cannot break the rules of the road. Now that would be duty of care. But then, if they did that, Ford and all other car manufacturers would loose revenue, because who would want to buy a car that isn't allowed to perform like they do at the moment.

Let's not forget, that both Ford and Expensive Daewoo are both Australian off shoots of US corporations.

PS : If I have mis-understood your thread and responses, it is probably because I can only read/write and speak English. Perhaps if you care to use correct grammer, spelling and punctuation you will have a better chance of putting your point across clearly.

EDIT : And to answer the thread title, isn't this what all business do, ie reduce safety features, reduce service etc, to increase profits. One could argue that in the case of reduced Service, Ford are worse than Holden. Just ask those who experience squeaky brakes, diff clunk and the like. Having been a previous Expensive Daewoo owner, and now a T owner, I can say that my experience of Ford service is generally attrocious.

henestly all, how many people die ont he speed limiter compared to how many people die doing under 100kmph... cmon wake up!

yeah its everyday I see a car doing 300 down the highway.. but not a week goes by I dont hear of a fatal accident on the news on a highway where someone has died doing 80-110 in the SPEED LIMIT.

end rant.

Ford Aust and Expensive Daewoo are arms of 2 huge American conglomerates that exist for one reason, make big $$$ returns for their shareholders.

You make out Expensive Daewoo to be the devil, one is no better than the other.

I agree with Typhoon,

How many times have Expensive Daewoo changed their engines out put; 225, 235, 245, 250 and that's just in the SS, all the time the xr8 has remained at 260. Where's it going to end? We all know Ford and GM are capable of producing engines well over 1,000 hp, so if one (Expensive Daewoo particularly)keeps trying to out do the other, where does it stop? We'll end up like Japan, with kw and speed limiters on all cars - and perhaps that wouldn't be such a bad thing given fuel and the R&D invovled with new engines. Car markers would be better off improving the efficiency of what they have (Ford & Holden) than making more power.
