I had an xede fitted and got 220 rwkw which was great but after a while the car suffered from overboost ie 3500-4000 rpm in 4th gear and then the stutter and die syndrome.I looked up all the posts on sudden loss of power etc etc and checked out the things listed such as plug gaps, connections, clamps etc and cleaned the throttle body. Then I came across a post about out of phase? cam timing. The remedy was as follows: ignition on, accelerator flat (car can't start),crank for 10 secs, ignition off and then foot off the pedal.I did this and very definitely the car is different ie no more breaking down and the turbo itself sounds different too.The thing is I,m not sure that it feels as powerful as before and I,m wondering whether what I,ve done has negated the Xede or if the xede was tuned to suit the car with cams out of phase and now it needs a retune. If the Xede over rides the factory computer then perhaps it doesn't matter.Any information would be helpful, thanks guys.

Call ChipTorque or the most sensibly, go back to the tuner and suggest they do!

It sounds like tuning issues with the boost ceiling not high enough. Check your plug gaps also. Mine was starting to break down at the last tune and it was simply plug gaps - although it wasn't causing overboost.............
