The problem of number 5 has resurfaced....

This time the spark was breaking down when the engine was heat soaked..Long periods in traffic...

when everything cooled underneath the problem went away..

Thinking this ain't a spark plug this time I've changed the coil.

Done about 150km and 6 dyno runs with the new coil on No 5 and things are good again..Hope so.. :w00t2:

Took the old coil to Ford and they say they will credit the cost when they send it in for warranty..

Bloody hopeless mechanics leaving the ducting loose, a first year apprenti could do better...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Funny you should say that...

Yesterday I was having a bit of boost escaping through a ducting hose.

None of the older mechanics could find the problem, told me to come back at my 15k service.

Then one of the younger 1st year apprentice's asked me if I could take him for a spin. No worries, and he found the problem in like 2 seconds. Something was escaping between the throttle body and the cross over pipe. They didn't have any spare ducts around, so he tightened it up and told me to get it replaced when I got to Canberra. Is working fine now :D
