Could have sorted it out on the track.....Had an absolute ball yesterday, thanks heaps to MissXR for organising.Had a memorable practice session scrapping with NYOPA, whose kart had the legs in the straight, but couldnt match my special number 6 under brakes. Was good fun forcing eack other to go faster. Race 1 was a cracker. Managed to catch up to Mini-Me and had some excellent racing for 2nd place. Really close racing, constantly swapping 2nd and 3rd, banging wheels where appropriate. Definitely understand what real racing is all about now, keeping it pinned through the last sweeper with no more than 10 cm between the karts is a buzz. We drove like this for lap after lap, neither giving in. Eventually the rain started and it got a wee bit slippery. I backed of a touch, thinking that Josh would spin of and I can cruise to glory in 2nd place. Unfortunately it didnt happen! Onya Mini-Me for a great race. Race 2 I am going to forget. My lucky number 6 kart spluttered and stalled on the way out to the grid, so I was forced to pit in for a spare. Unfortunately, the spare was number 13. It was all downhill from there. It wouldnt pull the skin of a custard, and if I didnt get lapped by everybody twice then I dont know what was going on. Spent the race trying to see how sideways I could get it, and waving people through as needed.Cant wait to go back again. Had an excellent day.Good to catch up with everyone again, havent seen some of you for a while.Have a safe christmas everyone.Matt and Christine Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/13574-nsw-act-christmas-get-together-mk11/page/10/#findComment-198113 Share on other sites
