I know it's a little early (12 months or so) but I've started weighing up my options for a replacement for My Preciousssss ... :k24t:

1. GT-P

2. F6 Typhoon

3. LS2 Clubsport R8

4. BMW 325i

My heart is with the GT-P at the moment. Rapid with Black Stripes. :o

The F6 is a close second, but I've always wanted a V8 and never owned one.

The R8 is actually quite a good option. Similar price, extra grunt, extra extras???

And the BMW? Is it time to forego boyhood things and settle down with a bit of style and luxury? :pooh:

Comments welcome. :censored:

Ken,

any of the first 3 are a good bet. But I think a 325CI with 20" chrome wheels and a M badge will top them all.

Hmmmm, was hoping to keep the price comparison roughly the same. :censored:

well, if its the V8 you are wanting, but also want a bit of sporty class, the R8 or GT-P is the go, and really depends on you.

BMW's are good, but if your gonna go service them at BMW centres, itll cost you a bit more then any other regular place like ultra tune or somthing like that, but ill agree, very nice cars, and if its a V8 your gonna get in that, youll be happy (not sure if the 3 series come in v8 or are the i6) the BMW V8's hammer, I know cause my brother is a mecho at a bmw joint and he has taken me for a run in a 6 series V8, my oh my, what fun that was.

Also you have to take in consideration what R8 you would get, if it is a S2 VY it would be my choice only just over the GT-P, because they are just in front of ford with thier V8's, but if your gonna get a VZ R8, you have to remember the amount of probs Expensive Daewoo had with the ls1 when it came out, because with the new ls2 they are sure to have some small problems, but then again maybe not...

that's all from me anyway...

Wait for next months Motor Magazine. I believe they have an article on both the F6 and a GT with the new 6 speed. This months MM has a spiel on the new GEN IV HSV`s.

These articles may help.

For me it would be the F6.

Cheers

Do not even consider the BMW. Expessially if it is the lowly 325i. You're paying all that money for the badge. I have driven many of bmw, even M3's and M5's, which are good, but the price and problems I have seen many people report expessially over here where there are more luxury brands on the road really doesn't justify the price of them.

Thanks for the replies, guys ... as I said, I'm just starting to consider my options. I understand that a lot can happen between now and when I'm actually ready to part with My Precioussssss .... just thought I'd get some feedback. :censored:
