While I like the look of the shaker on the XR6T I'm a bit of a purist and reckon they belong on V8s not 6 cylinders (even if the 6 cyl are faster). So is the actual shaker metal or fibreglass Macka? Personally I dont think putting a 30 year old designed scoop on a 2004 Ford works. Same thing with the guy who had pressed in louvres put into his bonnet. Looks better as original IMO. Maybe if it does serve as a CAI then paint it the same colour as the car.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Everyone has their own opinion and personal choice  It does serve as the CAI for the turbo and there is nothing out in the market that does it better. By the positive comments and post from members on this forum and the reaction from the general public, when you drive the car around the streets, the Skaker hasn't lost its mystique. It just goes to show that even if the Shaker is 30 years old, people from all sides of the fence are still attracted to this icon. This is the reason why I chose the Shaker as the scoop, people have their own feelings and memories about it from years gone by. I think putting a none Ford product on a Ford would have been worse and would've been called "ricey"The pictures really don't do it justice. When you see it in person I feel confident that you would change you opinion. When you actually drive the car the car seems to change character and you feel like you are driving a monster from years gone by, with all the trimmings of todays technology. Only one forum member has driven my car with the shaker and to use his words in a post here. Blown BA. You can still get the actual alloy replica's for $1500. Having seen the two side by side the fribreglass one actually looks neater and better finished. The intake system undreneath the Shaker is an all alloy construction with HPC coating to help reduce heat and provide a protective coating. As far as fitting the xr6 bonnet on the xr8. IMOP It would be next to imposible with out completely re-design the V8 intake.macka

Can you do it to have the height at the rear of the first one you did and the new front height combined <{POST_SNAPBACK}>It could be done, the only problem would be that the Shaker would not sit horizontal. It would point downwards at the front. At this stage with the shape of the original shaker replica I don't know how it would look. I could always redesign the Shaker to look like this but it would no longer be the original design. The front of the Shaker would be a larger openning to make the top of the Shaker sit horizontal from front to back. What's everyone elses thought's.macka
