Hi Pretzel, :kissmy:

Be patiant and keep your hand on your wallet just a little longer as I want to make sure everything performs as it should before I see people parting with their hard earned.

Dyno results didn't show great improvements a this stage, I was'nt really expecting any first up as I new that I could design it better. Lets just say that it did'nt hurt. I have now sourced the parts that I need and I have made some major improvements to the intake from the shaker to the turbo. I have shortened it even more it now travells about 200 mm and is a lot more free flowing, which should make the car even more responsive. I would be expecting to see some HP gains this time. I will post new pics when completed.

There was however 2 big improvements, that I really was'nt thinking about as I was more interested in the horsepower gains.

1st thing that is apparent is how much cooler the engine runs whilst travelling along the highway, the temp needle sits just above the 1/4 mark.

2nd and probably the most important considering the price of fuel was the drop in lt/100km. I used to get 13.5 lt/100km I then installed the Exede, which dropped it back to 9.5lt/100km. On the way to Melbourne last thursday with the shaker fitted it dropped back to 7.2lt/100km with cruise control on, a lot of the time it even went into the 6lt/100km.

As you can see by these figures the shaker really comes into it's own out on the open road more so than when the car is sitting still on a dyno.

At the time of tuning, the car started with 224rwkw and by the end of the session it was producing 256 rwkw at 8psi. We could'nt run anymore boost until I fit the new valve springs because of valve flutter. Once this is fixed we should be able to pull up to 300rwkw. I would like to dyno a stock car with the shaker fitted I would expect to see some good improvement.

As for costs still have to sit down and work it out. The new changes should lower costs even more. I'll keep you informed.

Hope this anwsers some of your questions. keep them coming and I'll do my best to anwser them
