Sounds like Ford Australia have really done their homework. If they think they got their arses kicked with EA head gaskets they ain't seen nothing yet.Ford worldwide have had plenty of experience with turbos eg Sierra RS500.There are no excuses.

Be patient men,

Ford have a fix and its soon to be released. Can't say to much don't want to get the guy into trouble. All I will say is that they've rewitten the software.

They are driving test vehicles around as I speak and all indications are

Thunderbirds Are GO.

I;ll think I'll keep mine know. The same guy removed all my fault codes as well.

Man have they got some good sh  t to play with. All can be done in real time.

Dynowog I'd like to see what you could do with it. :spit: 8000 control points 2d, maps 3d maps, constaints etc. the list goes on and on.

If the edit system is partually as good as the real thing. Its the way forward that's for sure.

Been a very productive day.

Well after 11 (yes eleven) cut outs between Sydeny and Coffs Harbour I rocked into a Ford dealer and got 'codes' off the ECU.

4 codes pulled off all centering on Wastegate and O2 sensors....

Will be onto the Canberra guys now to see if they can fix ;)

A.

My car's been running like a heap of sh!t since the 15k service (yeah, I know I've said this in a few threads... sorry). The dealer says that I now have to wait until FoMoCo release the new flash upgrade. Why? I asked. The car was running fine before the 15k service so sure it was something that was done during the 15k service. The dealer said that apparently it was faulty software uploaded to the car's ECU during the serivce and now all their customers have the same problem - overboosting. So in the meantime, they've bypassed the wastegate solenoid and I'm waiting and waiting for the fix. Grrrr.

If its the new firmware causing the issue, why don't they flash it back to what the car was delivered with ?

Holy sh*te guys :w00t2:

This thread was the first time that I'd ever heard of this overboosting/cutout thing. I damn well hope they fix this (will be watching here closely), as I was about to go the T any month now (month - hur hur hur).

Erm, yeah...

Thanks man, I'll keep muh ear to the ground. I'm dead set keen on the T, and I can't see Ford leaving such a critical performance issue unsolved.

Shall keep the faith.
