From what the service manager told us, they removed a pipe to bypass the computer control of the turbo which drops the power by 20 to 30 kw. They tell us it's a bandage fix until Ford releases the real fix due in December.

there is 2 hoses 1 go's from the comp cover to the solenoid just below the battery and the other go's from the solenoid to the wastegate. the mod they did is by pass the solenoid efectivly reducing boost to bare minimum that's your power loss!!!

I can't believe that 1 small pipe being removed can lose so much power loss..WOW!! So you are saying that's all they would of done and not touch the computer? Please explain further...cheers....still new to all this :banghead:

That's not good enough Aly. They can't sell a car as 240kw and then de tune it to 210kw because the computer can't adapt for the boost it runs.

Yep that's what they told me,you drop 2psi of a stock engine

sufice to say brett's (pretzels) over boost is totally cured zip didledy squat non existant thanks to ems!

just means that by fitting the ems to pretzels it cured all over boost cut problems.

although boost is now at 10psi so its constant over boost! no cut though!
