would like to hear opinions on recommended oil change interval of 15,000 k's, I,m no expert but I noticed my oil go from clear to brown in 3500k's, for a high performance engine this interval is too high for long term durability, I would think. I will be replacing every 5-7000k's

Ford advised me that when the car comes from the factory it has a type of oil which allows the engine to wear in rather than offer protection. I recently took my car for the complementary service and requested for the oil change and they advised me as per above.

They advised that if I really need an oil change that 5000km-7500km should be OK. Mostly they want the engine to bed in properly rather than changing to the recommended oil. Can anyone add or have different views?????

Mine was changed at 3000 the dealer didn't mention it

Me too, asked 3 different dealers and got 3 different answers on whether to change it at 3000km or not.

l just went ahead and did it.
