I like them and like the idea. I think if I was to get it done though, like Voy said, I'd prefer the vents to follow the line of the bonnet. Well done!

personally I would have made the design flow with the lines of the bonet...like an arc...

As a couple of you have mentioned the pattern does not follow the design of the bonnet. If you ever get a chance have a look at the underside of your bonnet without the soundproofing/shielding on it do it.

There are only 3 places where these 6 inch wide vents can fit, 2 are were I've put them & there is one more approximately above the front of your tappet cover.

To put them anywhere else will require you to greatly reduce the integrity of the bonnet & the width of the jig that cuts/moulds all in the one action cannot be altered.

Originally I was planning to have several sets of them, but when the dude looked at it he pointed out that there are restrictions on their placement.

All in all I'm very happy with it & the effect it has on the cooling down of the car.

A big thanks go to

Ray @ Ray Taylor Auto, Braeside Street Bundamba 07 3282 1818 (cost was $110) included some small & very neat amount of metal nibbling to enable the jig to get right into it, there are two sets of 18 louvers.

P&M smash Capalaba for painting the bonnet & matching it fantasticly despite my not letting them blend the paint into the guards.

Scotty

p.s. Dave "Phase_3_Pashen" must rate very highly on my Mexican List, nice bloke & appreciates a good steak when he eats one, oh the blood of the Large rare Rump dribbling down my Chin. Any time you want to catch up will be fine with me mate.

Well done scotty.

What did you feel like when they started to cut holed in your bonnet.

I know how you felt :w00t2:

when he gets time xlr8ed will post some photos of the workshop where the carnal knowledge of my bonnet (which isn't my original, it's an XT one I purchased for the louveres) took place, trust me when I say, she's a "I'll come back when you've finished" place. Looks like hell but the end job is top notch

Is that the Norman Hotel I hear? Apparently my invitation miraculously disappeared!

That's one extra space on the christmas card list
