sbr79 Member 280 Member For: 20y 7m 21d Posted 19/10/04 10:50 PM Share Posted 19/10/04 10:50 PM Well according to the boys at CAPA, they told me that the Vortec supercharger added to the XR6 n/a is absolutely fine, providing you don't exceed the 346KW . Their prototype car was a falcon XT sedan, and it absolutely loved its super bnolt on friend. As for the warranty, well this project would cost close to 12 000 buckaroonies, so I guess I will be saving until the end of my warranty anyway. But hey why would I want a Turbo, when everyone else has one, I like to try different things and this supercharger really wet my pallette. Also if you can afford the risk, then why not try , never know done right it could be a winner and the next generation of falcons be born. Guest Guests Posted 20/10/04 03:31 AM Share Posted 20/10/04 03:31 AM Thunder mate, I think sbr79 talking fly wheel 346kw, if your talking fly how come so low?How come CAPA going only to 346kw, I thinking the injectors and pump run out around that point, may be somone knows better?Hate to nag a girly question all the time but, has anyone been able to insure one of these monsters yet? sbr79 Member 280 Member For: 20y 7m 21d Posted 20/10/04 06:39 AM Share Posted 20/10/04 06:39 AM They told me they could easily get more out of the car, but for the sake of realiability they won't exceed that figure, from what I gathered from the conversation, it is quite possible to easily crack the 400kw mark and more, this figure is also only taken using stock components and the supercharger and intercooler.I would more than likely have more due to the fact I will more than likely be chipped, SS CIA, throttle boddy , headers, fuel pump and of course a better exhaust, so I can't even start to give an estimate yet, they couldn't either due to the fact all cars will no doubt give different results on the dyno.BUT HEY, don't shoot the messenger, they are the experts not I , I just dream and drive my baby.
