PM Update - at least BBF are keeping me up to date.

Wasn't " a simple wire or switch"  it is " a bad valve in the valve body of the tranny."

Of course no parts in Brisbane  hope to get parts tommorrow.

Keepyaposted

Surely they aren't going to patch this up again??

Surely they are going to replace it this time...

I feel for you, hope it all works out.

You have convinced me to get an external trans cooler and bypass the radiator.

She is back in the shop again,

Lost all Tiptronic downshift (..........................

As soon as you touch the trottle, there is a half second delay and bang it drops in to the currently selected gear. (Nice when doing 80 when first selected !)

Repeats 100 % of time.

I was thinking, what if it actually DID GO IN FIRST gear at 90 or 100km/h. Would ford fix it then?

Good luck with it mate. Your gonna need it. :Welcome2FordXR6t:

:msm::w00t2: Help !

Tuesday 3pm

BBF just called to say the tranny is still out being reassembled and -get this - "not sure if that's it, we changed the part but it might just be a bit of sh*t floating around in the tranny !!!!>

Ferferksake ! what confidence is that supposed to instill in us !

13ford did not even have courtesy to acknowledge receipt of emails I sent yesterday afternoon and this morning.

Have just sent another two asking if at least they could have common decency to respond. Also advised them of latest development this afternoon.

Does anyone out there know how to get further up the Ford ladder past 13FORD ?

I called NRMA Technical advice yesterday and they reckon it is terrible treatment and should be taken to Fair Trading. (trouble is - getting the time in a one man business !)

Heeelup ! :msm::w00t2:

xr6T Bogey (not for much longer the way this is going - but the Ford would say "at leeast that troublemaker is gone - so stuff em' I'll hang in there.)

No, stick it to them mate. Don't let them wear you down (although that's much easier said than done).

If I were in your situation I would find me a good solicitor - sure the cost may ring alarm bells but is it worth the potential ongoing hassles that you will possibly be left with, even to the point that you may not even be able to sell the car when you decide that you've had enough.

It sickens me to think that you are being stuffed around so much, and I could only imagine what I would feel like if in the same situation. The dealer would probably have an AVO out on me by this stage.

All the best though.

I know this is an old thread. this exact problem caused my mates AU turbo XR6 to burn to the ground. oil and water spewing out of the auto filler tube on the hot dump pipe and turbo manifold. as soon as he could extinguish it another drop of oil and it would flare up again. burnt the entire engine bay out. he has a big phobia of autos now, cant say I blame him.
