Hey Macka, I love your shaker!  :w00t2:

Looks awesome and very good feedback from other forum members.  Other than street-cred, what, if any, benefit would you see in installing the shaker on my Phase 3?  In terms of performance/noise/fuel economy etc?

Looking forward to your reply.

Dave

p.s  Got any pics of one on a Phantom T?

Hi Dave,

In my OP any restriction that you can remove has to be a good thing no matter what phase your car is. The difference with my intake compared to what's currently available is that when the car is in motion at some point at a certain speed there would have to be a positive air pressure flow into the turbo. By that I mean. there woud be more air trapped in the Shaker than the turbo could use.

What if any effect this would have I don't know but I don't see it as a bad thing. I would suggest that it would help with top end performance in a drag situation. I intend to run my car soon on the 1/4 to test this theory it will be interesting to compare my top end speed with others with the same rwkw. Maybe dynowog could shed some more light on the subject as well.

As far as fuel economy goes it has improved a stock T's and my car with the other mods I have already done so I see no reason why it should'nt help higher performance cars as well.

I would like to tell you what it will retail for but unfortunately I really don't Know myself at this stage. Believe me I'm not holding back. I'm still waiting for costs for lazer cutting, material availability and final design drawings. Its a slow process to get costs from other business's some times.

When it is released I want the product to be of the highest quality and finish ( no need to go to Bunnings) and do what its designed to do. I also want the customer to have complete satisfaction and to be proud to lift the bonnet to show others.

We spend so much time and money on our T's this product will not only be a visual enhancement, it will improve performance and economy it has to be done right. Do it once and do it right has always been my philosophy.

All I can really say is that as soon as I know the final cost you guy's will be the first to know. I'm doing everything possible so that it will be ready by December 2004

I've got the xr8 CAI with BTP adapter... coupled with a K&N filter my ride made 200.5kw at the rears on the FIST dyno.

no before runs but I'd say it's gain the 10-15kw's... ran the car in hard though, only use shell optimax and BP ultimate occasionally.

Beasty currently has around 12000km's on the dail.

I can't remember off the top of my head how much I payed for the whole get up.. but it was money well spent.

It looks trick in the engine bay (and stockish) post-12-10897126026.jpg

ask a open ended question and your going to get a lot of different answers.... we all are different and we all like different things.. pick one you like and go with it... they are all worth their weight in gold, with no AFM's the turb's come alive with a CAI!

my 2c ..

Ta Geea!

The turbo letters don't live there, it was just for the purposes of the photo so people know it's a xr6t ;)
