I also have my preasures increased and the people were aware of this before they sent it to me. I should have it installed by Thursday and will let you know for sure then.

Mate let me know when you want to do it and I will bring my trusty soldering iron and electronics skills if you need me.

Hey George. Dean came round yesterday and we installed the unit in his ute.

First off it definately works.

It has a problem with auto's that have already been modded though. Dean has had his auto upgraded and when the switch was turned on it lost first gear. It definately changed harder though. You could select 1st in manual mode and when driving hard it was awesome. This would also help the ute guys in the wet as taking off in 2nd would assist with wet road traction.

It will also be great for drag racing either on the track or street. you would launch with it off then when needing to change from 1st-2nd you would turn it on. This would give you 2nd almost instantly and you would still be in auto mode leaving the car to change 2-3 and 3-4 on its own.

I think the top of the range variable one would be great for standard auto's and that the base model (on/off) would be great for the modded auto's. This is the way I will probably go.

My auto has been upgraded through aps also, geea, so I guess I would have to go the on off switch setup. Did it improve the ute off the line? Would it have any gains or advantages over the 1/4 mile do you think?

Sorry for not posting some info sooner guys but work was hell today.

As Craig has said the unit does quicken the shift quite a bit and you can certainly feel the shove in the back when the unit is on.

I will be trying a mod to the unit tomorrow afternoon to see if I can get first gear back on my already modified (Shimmed) auto.

The 1 - 2 shift is much crisper in all three auto modes including manual shifting, my plan is to start the run with the unit off so the car will leave the line in first as normal. I will then activate the unit via the toggle switch just before the car would change by itself.

Throwing the switch gives an almost instant change into second with no where near the delay of manually changing, leaving the unit on will then allow the 2 - 3 shift to be firmer as well.

Installation including fitting of switches should take about an hour and it goes into the factory loom quite neatly. I will get the car checked tomorrow to see if any auto fault codes have been generated.

I will let you know how it goes.

Dean
