Hear hear George. I got a modded series one GT and it never had a problem beating ANY of the 300kW Monaros, GTS's, and other assorted HSV and SS garbage that rev up next to it at the lights. Hanging out for that WHHOOOOOSSSHHHHHHHHH in the back from the Typhoon though . End of the bloody month now they tell me

Still I've been too busy to scratch myself for the last month, and the reward of patience is patience.

Mate I been working and travelling all over the place, havn't had time to do much and my trusty laptop was melted down by a virus so I've had little time or ability for internet access .

The GT is gong very well, its on a truck to Melbourne for a set of Cams and a UNICHIP reflash as soon as the Typhoon turns up, then I'll fly over and spend a week or so there before I drive it back (should be at the end of Nov). You know how it goes once you get used to the grunt you forget what you've got and partial boredom sets in .

I got sick of waiting for computer edits and reflashes and untrue delivery times so I'm finishing a training course in Perth this weekend and off to Sydney on Monday for a few days. When I get back I'll start to hassel the dealer and see if I can speed the delivery up a little. Hopefully I'll see you in Melb when the GT is finished

Ok I was flicking through my shortcuts and wanted to go to the FPV site. My shortcut told me no page was there so there is my post. I then went via the Ford site, found what I wanted, the FPV site with a changed address and edited my original post.

As far as the FPV range goes I think the Typhoon is a great thing. I would have liked to see more done to the Mark II version of the GT's though. I will stick with my beloved XR6Turbo's though as I cannot afford an FPV.

I've found the solution to the boss's lack of power.

All Ford needs to do is give the GT's buldge about a 2 inch raise, maybe 3. She'll be right, this will fit in there perfectly.

I really don't see the extra money in any of FPV's cars, over the standard Fords.

Unique bading and numbering, decals on bonnet and side skirt, 30kW more and a body kit / spoiler.

Most of these things can be done with 5 grand.

I don't think you've looked close enough then. The difference between base prices is about $13k. The RRP of the XR options that come standard on the F6 are around $10k - premium sound/luxury pack, brakes, wheels and more - and I'm willing to say that the engine upgrades are worth around $3k for my money. As for modding the engine, sure, do that - but remember that when I mod my F6, I'll still have started 30kW in front of you.

The reason that I ordered an F6 (I'm a lucky bas*ard, aren't I?) is because when I specced out my 6T, it was only $2k cheaper than the F6 with the same stuff. You gotta love fleet company discounts.
